What is this calculator for?

Basic insurance covers the same with every insurer, but the premium differs by hundreds of francs a year depending on insurer, deductible and model. This concerns everyone insured in Switzerland, every year anew until the notice deadline at the end of November.

The calculator fetches the Federal Office of Public Health premiums for your postcode, age, deductible and model and shows what switching saves. Which deductible suits you depends on your health costs; the calculator does not decide that for you.

All calculators are for orientation only. The reference values come from public sources (FOPH, FTA, FSO, ElCom and others) and are provided without warranty as to accuracy, completeness or timeliness. The results are neither financial, tax or insurance advice nor a recommendation for any specific product. Before decisions with financial consequences, such as changing your health insurer or deductible, withdrawing pension capital or taking out a mortgage, please verify the figures with the responsible body. Recalculated every year.

The calculator answers today's question. An account makes sure you don't start from scratch again next year.

Your household, remembered

Store insurer, deductible and model for each person. The calculator then shows not just the cheapest insurer, but whether switching actually pays off for you.

Questions before you switch?

The short answers. For everything else: info@batzi.ch

Guide: switching health insurance, step by step

From the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH), which publishes all approved premiums every year. Batzi shows them unchanged, for your premium region, age, deductible and model. No estimates, no promotional rates.
No. Comparing, checking your deductible and seeing whether you qualify for a premium subsidy all work without signing up. You only need an account if Batzi should remember your details and recalculate for you next year.
Nothing but calculate. Without an account, postcode, age and deductible stay on your device. Batzi doesn't sell addresses to insurers or brokers and won't call you. With an account, your data lives on a server in Switzerland.
Your notice must reach your current insurer by 30 November; the new insurance then starts on 1 January. Miss the deadline and you pay for another year. That's exactly why Batzi reminds you beforehand.
For the switch itself, nothing: the calculator is and stays free. Premium is the rest of the household: eight more calculators from taxes to mortgage, transactions from your bank statement and the Batzi Radar, which alerts you when a subscription gets more expensive. CHF 29.– a year or 3.90 a month, cancel any time.

Premium compared. And next year?

Create an account, store your policies, and Batzi recalculates before the deadline on its own. No half measures.
